This
moderate hike ascends for a while through an eroded section that is usually
quite wet. At 0.6 miles we reach a trail intersection. Turning left at this
junction we pass a few outlook points. The trail rolls up and down, than
passes a small pond at 1/4 miles.
We
soon reach our destination at a rocky opening overlooking the small village
of Hullets Landing on the East shore. Elephant Mountain can be seen as well
as some of the northern most islands of The Mother Bunch cluster.
