The 'Bell Experience' is why most Bell owners don’t own just one Bell. Each and every canoe – regardless of solo or tandem, Royalex or composite – has what we call the 'Bell feel.' It's that sensation paddlers
get when they go for their personal adventure in our canoe. To each person the 'feel' is a bit different, but we're sure it's a sensation you'll want to enjoy over and over again.
The Bell Experience is part of everything we do as a company. Every design is the result of a collaboration between Ted Bell, our company founder, and David Yost, designer. Ted is a former nationally ranked canoe racer.
Pair him with David, arguably the most prolific designer of human-powered paddle craft in the world, and we have a terrific core to our team. Add to that our paddle partners like Cliff Jacobson, Karen Knight, and Bob Foote, with decades of accrued expertise between them, and out comes our exceptionally well-rounded designs.
After a boat is created from the design, the Bell Experience is enjoyed by you, our customer. For the last 15 years we have had the pleasure of reading Bell paddler feedback that has arrived to us in letters, email, and phone calls. All the trip reports, photos, comments, and suggestions bring a smile to our faces. Your input helps us make the best Bell Canoes we can. Our experience shows that Bell canoe owners are a discriminating group. And we do everything we can to keep you, the existing Bell paddler, happy so you can share the Bell Experience with more new canoeists every year. With Bell Canoes change can happen immediately. That's one advantage of being a small, personable canoe company.
